TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:
☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!
☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!
SAMPLE SCENARIOS:
A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?
B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.
C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

...well. This is certainly not the area Priss was planning on doing some grinding in. Not that it looks unusual, just...not filled with violence-doers. Hm. Well, there's a sign, probably a good idea to follow it and touch the rock.
"...!! Seriously?"
For anyone that comes into the Heart Room, they'll see a girl with bright green hair dancing around exultantly, shouting something about 'story characters'.
...is she seriously wearing a thick leather belt over her chest like it was a shirt or something? Really?
Having finally become a Story Character, it is now her job to Advance The Plot. And as everyone knows, you do that with violence. So, of course, Priss went out and picked a fight with the first monster she saw. It's kind of like someone decided to combine a turtle and a chicken, and much to Priss' frustration her spear can't pierce the thing's shell.
"Rrr...this would be a perfect time for my first unique skill to be activated...! YOU HEAR THAT, DEVELOPERS?"
~*A*~
He's been staring at her for what is probably longer than permissable, but she seems a little caught up in what she's doing. He'll just start to back away... tucking aside his notebook away... maybe he can leave before she notices and wants a tour.
no subject
"Hi! It's great to meet you!"
FELLOW STORY CHARACTERS UNITE
Now that she's closer, it becomes possible to see her ears are pointed.
no subject
"Ah, hello! Did hyu just-"
He motioned to the rest of the room.
"Arrive?"
no subject
"Yeah! I just got the basics of the plotline, and I had a few questions, if that's okay?"
no subject
"Ah... sure, hy vill see if hy can help. Hy still dun know efferytink."
no subject
"What's the battle system like? Real time? Turn-based? There's still grids, right?"
no subject
"None of that, I think? I don't know. I can show you around though."
He offered unsurely.
no subject
"Lead on! What kind of shops are here, anyway?"
Well, besides Rosenqueen. Rosenqueen's everywhere.
no subject
Now, he's motioning more wildly at the stone walls and the background lighting.
"Dere is a snack table here, und efferyvun has their own room."
no subject
MORE IMPORTANTLY
"So where do I go to buy weapons?"
no subject
Thoughtful pause. Let it never be said that he doesn't know an opportunity when he sees one.
"But, if hyu need zumtink vith a little more firepower, feel free to look me up."
no subject
"So it's stored away for cutscenes, huh?"
Patting down her body, Priss stops when one hand is on her lower back; apparently her Gem is a chunk of jade on the base of her spine.
"Okay, then, all I need to do is...there!"
With that, she pulls a spear out of her Gem.
"Haha, neat!"

What's this? Another Adventurer? She's shouting things at the Dev team after all. Unsheathing his swords, Leonardo dealt a swift kick, hooking his foot under the shell and kicking upwards. "Remember you're not in Elder Tale, you gotta think creatively!"
The turtle-chicken thing went flying upwards, it's underside exposed.
no subject
Alright, violence was once again the answer! Sweet, sweet violence, solution to all life's problems. Priss smiles at her new teammate and leaps after the Turchicken, thrusting her spear at its weak point.
Man, she could get used to this weird, action-based battle engine!
no subject
If Priss' attack didn't finish it off immediately, the Pain Needle would deal additional status damage to it.
no subject
Because yes, this was obviously the thing she should be paying attention to.
no subject
Yeah that turchicken might take offense to the two. Thoughts, turchicken?
no subject
Turchicken probably is taking offense, but who cares? It's just a thing for Priss to do violence to.
no subject
Blipping behind the enemy, he launched into "Parallel Plot!"
While it sounded weird, he went into a flurry of slashes, vanishing and reappearing on the other side with a second chained attack, multiplying his hits. He was a flippin ninja okay?
no subject
...well, she sure is pole-vaulting on the Turchicken's head with her spear, yeah.
"And I'll have you know I'm 2,421! I just look young, alright?!"
no subject
Leonardo went flying from the sudden headbutt and he slammed into a tree. Damn that hurt.
Getting up by bracing one of his swords in the ground, he shook off the dizziness with some unease. Normally there'd be some HP dropping, wouldn't there? Oh wait there's the status screen.
"It hits hard, for such a runt..."
no subject
Priss tracks him as he flies into the tree but doesn't do anything in particular to help. She's a little upset.
no subject
Charging in, he gave the monster a enormous kick which knocked it into the air again. "Hit it hard!"
no subject
Driving her spear as hard as she can into the Turchicken's underside, the monster poofs, leaving behind a chunk of jasper crazed with thin fractures.
"...huh."
