Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:

☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!

☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!

SAMPLE SCENARIOS:

A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?

B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.

C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

That's not the problem... I can barely read this things status. It's not overlayed but...

Grimacing, he appeared behind the opponent. "The problem is making it stay down! Accel Fang!"

Striking the monster three times, he made a "tch" noise as the attacks didn't multiply his speed. "I've lost a lot of powers in the transfer here!"

The triffid was at least suffering a lot of damage from both sides. One more good hit should do it.

...oh, that's what's going on with him, huh. Priss had started to assume he just liked shouting out nonsense words.

That's not even close to strange for her, considering some of the ninjas she's worked with.

Coiling her legs underneath her, Priss jumps, catching air like an up-and-coming college basketball star, extending the metaphor with a truly wicked slam dunk into the triffid's gaping, leafy maw.

The slam-dunk used her spear, just to clarify. She doesn't have the power to summon basketballs.

The attack cut into the triffid-type and it expired with a poof, retreating into its gem as a small cache of leftover items it was guarding was revealed inside of the place it made its nest. With a sigh, Leonardo bubbled it and replaced his swords into place.

"Good job. I wonder if this is actually all useful..."

It looked like junk, but that was to be seen. Identify was just something they'd have to do on their own.

"Even if it's junk, we can just use the Item World and get better stuff, so don't worry!"

[keronardo]

"Item World...? Oh right that."

He... honestly stopped playing the game before that. But he vaguely remembered it after friends had come complaining to him he stopped playing Disgaea and refocused on Elder Tale.

"Well, lets see what we've got."

Looking through the items he noticed [35 Dollars] pop up as well as [Old Shoes] and [Broken Baseball Bat].

Right. Priss'll just snag the broken baseball bat, it's always a good idea to have a backup weapon and she's...better with swords, honestly, but she's not a slouch with axes, okay?

"You can have the shoes."

She did promise, after all.

"Right." Well, they'll go into his [Pizza Box] bag while he figures out what he'll do with them. Maybe clean them up. Hell, are these nike? Huh.

"Do you want to divide the money? It's about fifteen dollars split down the middle."

Some poor sod must have dropped his wallet and the triffid picked it up.

"...can you actually buy anything with that much?"

[keronardo]

"It can buy a small pizza, and I'm fine with that. I'll get a loan later from whatever bank system they've got here." said Leonardo. "I've already traded in some of my gold too."

[spear_mint]

"Humans can just, like...buy pizzas?! In stores?!"

[keronardo]

"Yeah, grocery stores sell cheap pizza that's about 6 dollars, and you can get a small handtossed for about 8 to 11 dollars, 8 if you've got a Dominos in the area."

He shrugged. "They're more expensive in your game I take it?"

[spear_mint]

Facepalm.

"Yeah. Yeah, you could say that."

[keronardo]

"Well, pizza is basically a easy meal when you get down to it. You'll gain weight but working it off fighting or training will help. Just like any other food in the world, it's always delicious."

Passing roughly half of the money over to Priss, he gestured. "Want to get food or do you want to fight more? Not much of a EXP grind without chaining enemies."
