wearethecrystalmodsHelloooooo Gems! Welcome to Cosmographia's game-wide How's My Driving post! This is a venue for the players of Cosmographia to give and receive feedback on their roleplaying here in the game. Critique and praise are both welcome here -- this is, after all, a feedback post.
Posting to the HMD is not mandatory. This is simply a place for our players to get some feedback on how they've been playing if they'd like to get some!
You can post to the HMD using the following form:
Anon commenting is not currently enabled and sock accounts will not be allowed. This may be subject to change in future, depending on player feedback.
Just keep things polite and respectful to your fellow players and see what feedback you get!

| 1. Post with your character/s. 2. In your comment, have your character ask a question. Would you rather ________ or _________, where the blanks are anything your character would like to know from anyone who might respond. Maybe they're asking out of curiosity. Maybe they have a dilemma of their own. Who knows. 3. Respond to other characters, whatever catches your own character's interest or whatever they'd like to talk about. Maybe they can't decide between the two. Maybe it's an easy answer. Maybe they think the question sucks. Discuss. Chat. Take turns. 4. ???????? 5. Profit. |

Power Suggestions Meme
May. 22nd, 2016 09:47 pmtorya The Power Suggestion Meme
(DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO FIND AN APPROPRIATE GIF FOR THIS MEME)
So coming up with new powers to gain in Cosmographia can be pretty hard. Maybe you're fresh out of ideas, and Superpower Wiki isn't giving you any good hits. Thankfully, you're in a game with a bunch of super creative people whose brains you can pick to see what powers they think would be a good match for your character -- and likewise, if you have a neat suggestion for them, you can let them know!
This meme is pretty simple! There's just a few steps;
• Post a toplevel comment with your character. List any current powers they have and any planned trajectory you have in mind for them, power wise or in terms of character growth and development.
• Comment around and people up with powers you think would suit their characters. These can be either silly or serious -- just have fun with it!
• actually now i think about it there's really only two steps uhhh GO WILD I GUESS AND BE MOST EXCELLENT TO EACH OTHER

the "never have I ever" meme!
Mar. 9th, 2016 09:21 pmcolorblond
HOW TO PLAY:
1. Everyone is at a big party. I don't know how we fit this many people into one room either, but bear with me!
2. Post an IC or anon comment with a subject that finishes the sentence "never have I ever".
3. If you see something your character has done, reply with them taking a shot! If they've done it many times, have them take many shots or down an entire bottle. Shots do not need to be alcohol, especially not for underage characters.
4. All characters must be honest. It's more fun that way.
5. Bother other people. Demand details. Don't wreck the house, please, and post warnings if things get 18+.

TEST DRIVE MEME
Feb. 2nd, 2016 09:41 pmwearethecrystalmodsHello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:
☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!
☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!
SAMPLE SCENARIOS:
A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?
B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.
C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

The Job Meme
Jan. 14th, 2016 07:38 pmcyan_maid
Waverly Bay has a variety of locations and businesses befitting a seaside town. Perhaps your character has gotten employment at one of these lovely establishments, or they've set up their own business, OR they just don't give a darn about working for money when they could just steal/mooch off the temple fund/etc.
Well, whatever they do, tell us about it! Meet the coworkers you never knew you had! Make collaborations with other entrepreneurs! Find a place for your character to work if you're not sure where they get all their money from!
