If it's any consolation, it's a lot harder to kill a gem then a regular human right? So if you can aim your murderous fury at other gems then you'll probably just get by with poofing them. So long as ya don't shatter em they'll come back good as new!

So he made AI reconstructions of them to populate the virtual town that had become the last stronghold of mankind after nuclear war. Trying to convince himself someone was living there. That he hadn't failed.
