Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:

☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!

☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!

SAMPLE SCENARIOS:

A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?

B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.

C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

[He starts looking at the booths again, his ears twitching- if he had a visible tail you know it's be wagging.]

A cute girl look, hmmm... so like Seraphina Sis then? So lot's of pink and red!

[She usually prefers cool tones but you know what, she can pull off anything.]

What about patterns, are those in?

No way, you gotta go bold! Solid colors, just... like everywhere! Oh wow, like this!

[Okay whatever he's holding up looks like it belongs on a hooker]

[She might not know what's in fashion here, but she sure knows what she won't put on her body.]

N-no..? Oh yeah, of course this is trash, I was just testing you.

[He keeps pawing around. Like, literally he's almost IN the booth- the poor shopkeep looks a little lost- child what are you doing crawling into all these lady clothes?]

[Please spare this shopkeep, because Alice is just going to make commentary and not attempt to get him out of the booth.]

I don't like showing too much skin most days, so that's out. That neckline doesn't flatter me.

No skin? Huh, weird...

[Look, if he's a good example demons are like, half naked all the time]

Huh... maybe something like this?

[Aw, what a nice and MUCH more conservative blouse!]

[He blushes and practically giggles, before catching himself]

[He jumps up onto the booth counter, hands on his hips and head thrown back]

I, the Raging Storm Overlord, Zeroken, have saved another lost soul from the pit of despair! But always still, I must wander, a lone wolf in search fo- w-whoa-!!

[The shopkeeper has had enough, and yanks a pair of pants he was standing on out from under him, causing the kid to flop face first right into the ground]

[Oh goodness. Alice tries her very hardest not to laugh as she holds out a hand to help him to his feet.]

Are you alright, Raging Storm Overlord?

[From his place on the ground he makes muffled little huffs and whines, like a distressed puppy, before taking Alice's hand]

Owowow... you couldn't at least let me finish first-?!

[The shopkeep just huffs at him as Zeroken rubs his face... suddenly noticing how Alice addressed him, turning red]

U-uhm, just Zeroken is fine... and yeah, I'm okay. Just a scratch-!

Of course. I'm sure a little fall is nothing to the likes of you.

[He's cute, can she keep him?]

That's right! Compared to the foes I've faced in all the Netherworlds this human is like... like ... I dunno... like a fly faced with a hurricane!

You must have plenty of impressive stories.

[Or, at least, funny ones.]

Why don't I buy this, and then we can sit down somewhere and you can tell me all about them?

[Omg no one has ever taken him seriously in his entire life]

[Look, he might have something impressive under his belt, and anyway she's after the ears.]

[The more excited he gets the more adorable he is.]

[He grins, willing to follow her anywhere at this point]

[Buying the blouse is a quick affair - she murmurs an apology to the shopkeeper for the trouble - and it doesn't take long to find a nice picnic bench to sit down at.]

What's it like to be an Overlord?

[His eyes flick back and forth, obviously nervous... or well, hiding something. It doesn't occur to him that Alice might not even know what an Overlord MEANS, considering that in his universe even humans know that- or well, he assumes. Before coming here he'd never MET one]

Oh well, YOU know-! It's a pretty big deal! I'm the strongest guy on my Netherworld so everyone has to do what I say.

[She has no idea, but that sounds about like what an Overlord would be. Of course, now she's suspicious of him, but she doesn't show it.]

It must be a pretty big responsibility.

[Yeah, this pipsqueak couldn't conquer a clothing booth, let alone a whole world. And proves it even more by looking heartbroken for a second]

Yeah... the Overlord has to protect their world from invaders.... And be so tough that even in the Human World they're scared of them. It's a demon's job to scare humans, after all!
