Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:

☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!

☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!

SAMPLE SCENARIOS:

A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?

B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.

C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

[Well this... whatever it was Chihiro had been expecting, this certainly wasn't it.

There's your usual trademark newcomer confusion, though this time it seems a little different than the standard fare. That's because Chihiro had entered the hole assuming it might go to another part of the school (or, ideally, a way out of it) but a cave is hardly something you could find inside a school (maybe... under it?) especially one that looked like this. And what even was that rock? Some kind of power source? And the other ones...?

Hands clasped at the chest timidly, Chihiro stands there for a moment taking it all in, before idly glancing behind-- oh fuck, the hole's gone.

OK. RIGHT. RUSHING OVER THE WALL NOW AND LOOKING FOR IT IN A PANIC.]

Oh no... oh no, oh no, where'd it go...?! I need to tell everyone about this, where'd it--

[Do you know how rad fresh air and sunlight and a gentle breeze are to someone who's been locked away in what was essentially a bunker?

Pretty dang rad.

So it's best to enjoy while one can, which is exactly what Chihiro (who is in noticeable high spirits) is doing today. No plans to buy anything... just enjoying the nice stroll and all the hustle and bustle of the actual outside world.]

Um... i-it's definitely nice to see the sun again, t-that's for sure. But I do kinda wish I could go home for real...

Everything else seems the same... except the gems. We don't have those...

Wh-Who are you?!

[ HOPEFULLY NOT SOMEONE INVOLVED WITH MOMOKUMA... ]

[Don't mind her prowling around, the large scars on her body displayed loud and proud.]

The name's Fortune. Ms. Fortune... [Spoken like a classy spy... though she can't keep it going, laughing in a second.] But my first name is Nadia. What's your name, bun?

You're... Y-You're not with that bear are you...?

[ if anything the scars make her look more like she's beaten up a few bears ]

[Is this the set up for something? She's waiting for the punch line. Or maybe she was supposed to ask in another way. Where bear? Haha... where bear.]

You haven't seen him? [ it's a little hard to believe anyone could miss that awful thing, but it's also somewhat... relieving? ]

He's black and white... looks like a stuffed animal but he can move and talk! Like some kind of robot.

[Having been at this new place for a few days now, Karamatsu has had plenty of time to explore. He's nearly gotten himself lost in the Temple several times by now, but how else is he going to know what all it has to offer if he doesn't go looking? That said, that's exactly what he'd been intending to do now...at least until he hears a voice from around the corner towards the Temple Heart.

With his hands in the pockets of his jeans, he follows the source of the voice until he spots what appears to be a young girl standing in the midst of the room, looking quite confused and overwhelmed.

Well. What does Karamatsu do when he sees a (cute) girl in need of help like this? He's just gonna swoop on in and do his painful thing.]

Ah...pardon me. Is everything alright?

[ Aaaaaand there Chihiro goes jumping again. This is going to be consistent isn't it ]

I'm... I-I'm trying to get back to my fr--

[ a pause as a certain asshole heir's words from earlier that day come back to mind ]

M-My classmates...

Classmates, eh?

[Karamatsu comes to a stop once he's in the room proper, taking a moment to marvel at just how small and delicate Chihiro is. He can't say that he blames her much for being nervous.

He lifts a hand to push down his sunglasses so he can look at Chihiro over the tops of them.]

I'm guessing you just arrived. But do not worry! I am here to assist you.

[With a flick of his hand, his glasses are pushed back up and he's offering his other to Chihiro with a smile that he hopes is as charming as he thinks it is.]

Let me be your guide~

nah sorry bruh but these hands are staying firmly clasped together. this situation still leaves a... very apprehensive feeling ]

Um, what do you mean by "just arrived"?

[That's fine; Karamatsu is plenty used to his gestures not being responded to, so after another second passes he pulls back, pushing his hands back into his pockets again.]

People show up in this place rather frequently, it seems. I just arrived a few days ago, myself.

[And here he was, planning on being the hero and showing Chihiro the way when he barely knows it himself.]

You found an entrance, a hole that you couldn't possibly resist exploring, did you not?

[ oh my god Karamatsu please ]

Uh... y-yes, I did. I... I was hoping it was a way to escape... Though now I don't have a clue where I am.

[Goodness, what an adorable child! The little one is positively glowing. Which of course, makes Chihiro stand out to Five.]

Why hello~!

[A singsong voice calls out, and bam. Boobs. Right in front of Chihiro's face. Five does lean down a little so they're more face-to-face, but not before Chihiro gets an eyeful of that cleavage and the yellow gem set in it.]

Aren't you a precious little one! You must be new.

[She keeps herself very aware of every single gem in this strange world, after all. It's fortunate that she assumes this is a child, or else the interest and curiosity in her eyes might be for other reasons.]

[Five just giggles at the way the little one seems to try to avoid looking. She's used to this sort of thing, that blend of embarrassment, fascination and jealousy over her gorgeously developed figure. Five, no.]

Mm, of course! Can't you tell?

[The playful smirk crossing her lips is practically audible in her voice. She just takes a step forward to close some of the distance Chihiro put between them again, arching to somehow put her chest even more on display. Showing off the gem, of course. Not other things. Don't be ridiculous.]

You do have a name, don't you, dear? It's awfully rude not to introduce yourself to a lady.

[Her tone is only playfully scolding. She wonders where the other gem's... actual gemstone is, too. But she at least has the decency not to demand such information from a child so soon.]

[Chihiro... it's a strange name, but there's something about it. It's unique, at least to Five. And that makes it particularly special.]

Such a pretty name for a lovely girl! You should be proud.

[Well. If there was any doubt of what Five's first impression of Chihiro was... there it is. She giggles softly, and she's suddenly leaning in close with that mischievous smirk again.]

And it's 'Lady Five', not ma'am.

[She puts an emphasis of dramatic disgust on the word, so over-the-top it's impossible to take completely seriously. And yet, there's an authority to it that makes it clear there's no arguing this fact.]

Oh, but of course you didn't know! [She slips in close and brushes Chihiro's bangs aside, running her fingers lightly on the child's face in what's supposed to be a comforting gesture.] Don't worry, I'm not angry with you, Chihiro. I'd really like us to be friends.

[Maybe she'd noticed Chihiro frightens like a nervous rabbit, or maybe she just really wanted an excuse to touch that soft hair and flawless skin. In a purely friendly way, of course. Perhaps attempting towards maternal? She's not as good at it as Two, and there are selfish reasons. Her idea of 'friendship' is even a little... possessive. But it's an attempt.]
