Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:

☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!

☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!

SAMPLE SCENARIOS:

A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?

B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.

C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

It's all right, it's a little different from the hero names I know of, but its a really nice one. It seems to suit you.

Yeah, on the Earth I was on, if you're a super, you should pick a super name, and then everybody calls you that from then on. I guess it's different for other places, with secret identities and stuff. Different realities?

I dunno. My cousin got to be such a great hero that the school put up a statue of him when he graduated, but he had his whole life to get used to his powers. I got mine a month ago, and now I'm here and everything's different all over again.

Well... in my world, there are all-girl hero teams called Pretty Cure. It's usually Cure, followed by a description or noun like Heart, Peace, Lovely, etc.

I see... that means you need to learn your limits all over again. It must be tough. I wish I could help...

Well, at least if I'm not Earth's strongest teenager anymore, maybe I won't be crashing into anything or setting my room on fire. [sigh] The world's probably safer that way anyway.

You can really do all of that back home? Wow. Precure rarely have a problem with powers, unless things happen and they get sad.

Yeah. I... kind of destroyed the cafeteria on my first day of school.

[deliver_my_feelings]

Oh wow... so wait, you go to a school for heroes then?

Is that what I'm getting?

Yeah. we learn all the things the normal schools do, plus everything about how to be a hero. It seems pretty nice, but I'm not sure I fit in yet. Everyone expects so much of me, but I just ruin it.

I see. It took me a while to fit into my school. I had trouble making friends because I moved in during the middle of my school year. But you know, making friends is more important than impressing others for something you "need" to do.

Well... I guess I have some friends. But I'm not really sure. I keep on embarrassing myself. But you eventually made friends, right?

That's right. I had to put myself out there, and extend the first greeting. I've got good friends now, and we go all over the place together.

I don't think friends care about you impressing them, only that you're a good friend to them.

Well... maybe. But right now, I should probably figure out what I do have, though, right?

Yes, I think that would be perfect actually. There's a few places for training. I can show you them, if you want?

Places for training? Like obstacle courses and stuff?

[deliver_my_feelings]

I don't think we have an obstacle course but we do have an arena, where we can line up sparring partners. Even if your powers have changed, that just means someone might be a match for you currently, right?

There's also the less-safe monster hunting some gems do. That's a bit more hands on than I'd like myself.
