TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:
☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!
☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!
SAMPLE SCENARIOS:
A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?
B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.
C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

He looks over her shoulder once the door is opened by the glow of her gem. He blinks. For some reason, the obvious did not occur to him.]
It...looks like our dorm at Beacon.
[There's a pang in his chest as he sees it. He didn't think seeing four beds and a small, crowded room would make him feel so...sad. Maybe because it was a reminder of all they'd lost and left behind, of memories and team moments before everything went to hell.
He understands now why Pyrrha was more than a little reluctant to come show off her room.]
Wow it's...been awhile since I've seen this place.
[He tries to sound upbeat about it.]
no subject
I...actually haven't been in here for a while myself...
no subject
You can't...change it? I mean...if it bothers you. Can't we make it look like something else?
no subject
[She took a shuddering breath.]
So it...it felt wrong to change it. But at the same time I wasn't...wasn't ready to be back in here yet.
no subject
I...yeah, I get it. Where have you been sleeping then?
no subject
After that I've been staying with friends here and there...
no subject
However, he was here now, and he wasn't going to let Pyrrha hop rooms if he could help it or if she'd let him help.]
I'm glad you were taken care of and...I get that this room bothers you...but you should have a consistent room to sleep in I think. So...
[Pause as an idea occurs to him.] Why don't you just sleep with me. [He flushes and rubs at his neck, glancing away. Even he realizes how that sounds, even if it wasn't what he meant.] I mean...that is...we were already sharing a dorm back home and my room here doesn't look like our dorm at Beacon so it should be okay.
...
Besides I'm not used to having that kind of space all to myself anyway.
no subject
Would that...really be all right?
[Realizing how that sounded, she continued.]
I-I mean...I do appreciate it, Jaune, but I...I thought you were looking forward to having your own room.
no subject
It probably would have gotten old after the first few days. Really boring if nothing else. It's not like I'm not used to sharing space. Come on Pyrrha. I wouldn't have offered if I didn't mean it.
[He grins.]
Besides, as leader of team JNPR I think this will be best for the team.
no subject
All right.
[A pause, then.]
...Thank you, Jaune.
no subject
Should we...continue the tour then? Or...do you have any stuff we need to grab to take back to the other room? [He jerks his thumb back in the direction of his/their room.]
no subject
No...I don't need anything from in here.
[Though she does make a note to get her stuff from someone else's room later.]
We should let you look around more.
no subject
Let's go then...maybe we'll run into some of the others too?
[ooc:We can keep going if you want...or we can end it there. I'm not sure really where else to have them explore and discuss and this seems like a good ending?]
no subject
Most likely. I'm sure they'll be happy to see you.
((OOC: We can end it here, yeah! X3 ))
