TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:
☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!
☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!
SAMPLE SCENARIOS:
A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?
B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.
C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

A
Howdy! I'm Flowey. Flowey the flower. You're new to Waverly Bay, aren'tcha? Looks like little old me will have to tell you how things work around here!
no subject
It's strange, but the thought's actually a little sad. Chara sweeps some of the blooms from their eyes to get a good look at the little thing.]
Waverly Bay?
no subject
These gems give you special powers and do special things you couldn't have done before... sort of like a superhero! So if you find yourself shapeshifting or flying or even blowing the world u with your mind when you couldn't before, don't be surprised!
ALso don't blow the world up. You'd kill billions of people and that would make you a horrible, twisted abomination unworthy of any sort of sympathy. So I'd stop thinking about doing that if I were you.
[Started off good, ended off horribly. Damnit, Flowey.]
no subject
Superpowers actually sounded kind of cool, but they wanted Frisk back. Reaching the surface and freeing an entire race with a friend, only to be yanked away from that future? That was pretty unfair, wasn't it?]
What about you? What can you do?
[There's a little bitterness there. Any vines? Soul-stealing? Corrupting save files?]
no subject
Golly, I've got my magic bullets and vine control. And I've recently gained a third, but you'll just have to wait and see what it is...
no subject
Wait and see what it is, huh? Fine. They can play your game. Chara's grinning now.]
... Ah. I see how it is.
Either you're trying to threaten me, pique my curiosity and toy with me... or maybe you're just bad at this, saying all the wrong things. Consider myself curious, regardless of all that.
[They stand up from their crouched position in front of Flowey.] So unless you've got anything else for me, I think we're done here, Dreemurr.
[Just 'cause you're the same as Asriel doesn't mean you're getting treated the same way. I mean, you sure don't act any similar, so why should they?]
1/2
Then they say Dreemurr. His name. It trips him up because only a handful of people know that name. One of which is Frisk. The others aren't here. Flowsey pauses, then leans in for a closer look, trying to see past all the flowers. It takes all of three seconds before Flowey recoils and gasps in surprise, even if he doesn't feel any.]
Ch- Chara...! It's... it's you!
2/2
...I'm... I'm Flowey now. How do you recognize me? How are you even here...? It's... It's been a really long time, Chara... I... I missed you...
no subject
I don't know why I'm here.
[They're still grinning, but their hands have curled into fists and are shaking. They're so confused and angry- why does any of this exist? Why did they need to get dragged into this? Ripped from home, every gem, all of these people.]
It's all so... so...
[Fucking terrible. Borderline disturbing, even.]
...
Flowey.
["I'm Flowey now."]
no subject
And worse, I'm here...

[They take a deep breath, steadying themselves.]
Flowey, do you want to know what happened before I got here?

When Frisk first fell down, I awoke. It was pretty slow. I was so confused and angry. Then, by the time they got to the RUINS, I was with them. Providing items, their STATs, their options, their battle MENU.
I saw you kill the king. I saw you kill Dad.
I saw you become the Absolute God of Hyperdeath.
no subject
So you saw it all. That's why I'm so dangerous, even now. I don't have a SOUL...
no subject
You're trying, anyway.
no subject
I never really asked why you hated humanity so much. Are you trying as well?
no subject
Yeah, I'm... trying.
It's really hard not to think about it.
no subject
no subject
Frisk?
no subject
no subject
Thank god.
I thought I was torn away from them for good.
If they weren't around to keep an eye on me, I don't think I would have liked what I would do.
