Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:

☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!

☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!

SAMPLE SCENARIOS:

A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?

B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.

C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

[ To demonstrate, Feferi skips over to the Heart, and places her hands on it, then takes them away. ]

It won't hurt you, and you will understand a whole lot more, a lot faster than I can explain it to you. It's kind of like having a sprite in your head for a minute!

[Huh... well, if Feferi says it's fine, she may as well give it a try. Aradia reaches up and rests one hand gently upon the Heart. Having been a sprite once herself, the sensation of Suddenly Knowing Stuff isn't new to her, but she still takes a second to process it. She is the gem all of a sudden? And now she has new powers in place of her old ones but it doesn't say what they are exactly? Also there are mahnsters again, go fight them? What?????

Unsatisfied, she lowers her hand and looks to her friend.]

I think this plan might have just backfired on you, because now I have even more questions.

Glubsigh. Alright then, but at least come back to my respiteblock first!

[ Not that she minds being here, but her pillow pile is considerably comfier. Very good for lounging with friends. ]

[ARADIA joins the party! Lead the way, fish princess. :D]

[ Feferi in fact leads the way through the halls, coming upon a hallway full of doors. She stops in front of one with the same coral that's on her belly and it glows briefly, before the door opens, and Feferi leads the way inside.

On Alternia, Feferi's hive was all bright pinks and flashy colors, having chosen them at a young age. Now that she's older, she's picked some still-vibrant but perhaps more coordinated colors, with aqua walls and a tan carpet that makes it look a little bit like a beach. White curtains are pulled back over a window that looks out onto a (fake) scene of a tropical coral reef. In the corner where a bed would be is a pile of multi-colored pillows in red and oranges and other colors that match the corals "outside".

Flopping down onto the pillow pile, Feferi waves Aradia over. ]

Here we go! It is perchfectly comfortable for a question and answer session.

[Aradia takes a moment to look around the room. Interesting - you get your own room, and you can do it up however you want, huh... Why does that seem familiar?]

I like what you've done with the place.

[Eh, she'll figure it out later. For now, she comes over and flops down in the pile as well. Ooh, that is comfy.]
