TEST DRIVE MEME
Hello and welcome to the COSMOGRAPHIA TEST DRIVE MEME! This is a place where you can get a feel for your character(s) in the game's setting! A couple quick points before we get down to business:
☆ Please take a look at our Premise, World Information, and our FAQ to get a feel for the rules and setting. This is great if you want to see what the game is about before jumping in!
☆ Test Drive threads are certainly allowed to be used for samples for your application, should you choose to submit one!
SAMPLE SCENARIOS:
A: By whatever means, you've tumbled through a hole into a cavernous temple. Gems suspended in bubbles float about the ceiling, and a large Heartlike gem looms before you. Touching it, whether out of curiosity or frustration, will give you some basic information, but then again, there's no guarantee you're just going to walk up to a giant weird thing in the middle of a giant weird room and touch it, right? Why not take a look around and see for yourself what kind of place this is? Perhaps you'll run into someone in the same predicament as you, or perhaps you'll run into someone who can help explain why there's a weird rock now affixed to your body?
B: It's Thursday in Waverly Bay, and that can mean only one thing: the weekly Farmer's Market is here again! Stalls not only from farmers on the outskirts of town but from crafty residents with interesting homemade items to sell, and businesses looking to attract the Market's crowd are all here! Are you shopping for a good deal on vegetables for dinner? Or perhaps you're getting a feel for the residents, having recently arrived? Or, perhaps, are you an industrious gem who's looking to set up shop? Either way, you're bound to run into somebody in this bustling, busy place.
C: Uh-oh! Looks like you've run into a monster! Apparently, from what little you've heard, you can shapeshift into things and pull a weapon from your gem, and you have some sort of special power, but maybe you don't know what it is yet, or you're still not used to using it? Guess you're going to have to learn on the job. Don't leave your fellow gems hanging if you see them fighting one of these little guys either! You're going to need each other to take 'em down!

[ So it was like the human village. ]
I've always wanted to go to a market, but then I might end up scaring people away.
[ Those villagers had something against ghosts. Something about hauntings and souls of the undead, she really didn't pay much attention, nor did she get it. Ghosts were some of the most fun people she knew. ]
no subject
Why would you scare people away?
[Hey, she doesn't know she's talking to a ghost. She just seems like just a really pretty and nice lady to her.]
no subject
[ With a short, light giggle, she takes another bite of her pork bun. ]
no subject
I don't think so! You seem really nice.
[She'd be able to tell if she weren't! Light empathy powers and all. Do those work on ghosts? Or gems who used to be ghosts?]
no subject
It seems my sense of humor isn't quite transparent enough.
[ She is no longer a ghost herself--and hasn't been since she arrived in Waverly Bay--so it is very likely that, should Rise have any empathy powers, they would work. ]
no subject
Oh, so people don't really think that! Right?
[Look at that good-natured smile as Rise nervously laughs. She's not sure if she should be embarrassed that she didn't get it, or if it's from secondhand embarrassment at the joke itself.
Anyway, she holds out the bag again.]
Want one more? I've still got plenty!
no subject
[ Ah, she was perceptive for someone so small. The former ghost smiles warmly, giggling just a bit. ]
I'll admit, my sense of humor can be a bit dark.
[ Finishing her pork bun, Yuyuko looks surprised at the offer for another. ]
It would be rude of me to refuse an offer like that.
[ Also known as these were really good yes please feed her more. ]

[She declares proudly. Even though... she doesn't get why it would be a ghost pun yet. But she knows a pun when she hears one. Maybe the woman really likes ghost stories or something?
Her smile brightening again, she holds up the bag a little higher so Yuyuko can more easily take her second pork bun.]
no subject
[ Congratulations, Rise, you get another gentle pat on the head. Using that same hand, the former ghost reaches down and grabs a pork bun. ]
You're quite smart for your age. I'm impressed.
no subject
I-It's no big deal!
[Careful, Rise. If you keep acting like that, people might start to think you're a tsundere.]
