Okay, so pretty much see everything I said to Ink re:Dark Tower. I am completely canonblind with the added complication that all I'd heard about the series only put me off even further.

All that said! I really like Susan, and seeing how she's been dealing with being here and just... generally taking no shit? Her threads are just generally lovely to read~♪

tbh, my instinct is to jump to defend Dark Tower because it is basically my alpha fandom and has been for like five years, but... yeah, your concerns are legit. Like, it's not unrelentingly grimdark, but there's a whole lot of grimdark going on. also roland making terrible life choices like... constantly.

ANYWAY fandom rambling aside, I'm really happy to hear that! Thank you. <3

That's more than fair. Like I said, you guys are the closest thing I've got to personal experience with the series, and I know it's got to suck hearing something like that. But I wanted to be totally honest about where I'm coming from here, admitting my ignorance to underline how well you guys have been playing them.
