Like others, I'm seriously impressed by Pokey's character development. I've got this personal hangup where it's really difficult for me to emphasize with characters who don't show empathy for others -- like, I understand where they're coming from and all, and can feel sorry for them, but at the same time really can't connect with them. So you can imagine how little patience I have for the whole 'Draco in leather pants' phenomenon.

But you've done a really fantastic job fleshing out Pokey in a way that I'm not looking at him going 'Yeah, his parents suck, but what a jerk.' And it doesn't feel like you're downplaying or ignoring his past, which is always a plus. I like reading your posts, especially when you've got him tentatively reaching out to others, like his recent forum post, and just... his voice overall?
