For all your CR needs, whether it's hooking up your character with some new CR, introducing your new arrival or making some plans with your already existing CR.

Hey, they are going to only beat Gary up if it gets to the point of Gary showing his true colors and fucking Dave over obviously, so don't worry about that.

He knows. He's going to try and handle this on his own. But at the same time? Gotta let someone know bro, sorry.

But why does it have to be Shun?

Protip, Pokey: Shun is the last person Dave is willing to listen to.

Don't worry. You won't even have to talk to Shun. Everything goes well, Shun won't have to come into the picture unless it all goes to shit. Then Pokey invites Shun to kick Gary's face in with him.

That, and he needs to talk to Shun to know who Dave's other friends are than Gary for sure, so he can get them in on this. Sorry dude. He's not up for just letting you drown in some douchbag's plan.

Dave's going to be incredibly pissed that Pokey willingly went to talk and (potentially) team up with a guy who threatened to kill Bro and indirectly got Dirk killed, but if Pokey explains his reasoning he'll probably deflate relatively quickly and even feel grateful and flattered that Pokey's such a good friend.

At least unless Pokey starts trying to convince him that Shun's a decent person, because that'll make the conversation take a nosedive straight into the depths of the Mariana Trench.

Don't worry about that, Dave. So long as Gary's there, Pokey's willing to play the game of "what does Dave want to hear", and Pokey won't really have confirmation to think Shun is a good person, just that he might have his own side of the story. Granted, this might mean that Pokey might try manipulating Dave to combat Gary's own manipulation, which is going to make Pokey feel shitty, but he ain't got a lot of options.

Pokey also might be having a heart to heart with Dave on a personal level a bit sooner than later, considering a version of Pokey's brother is in town, and there's a good chance Dave is going to be hearing shitty things about Pokey sooner than he hoped.

Oh god this is terrible but actually one of the things Dave would absolutely pull out in defense of Gary (aside from Pokey's own earlier admission that he might just be paranoid) would have been "well now that you went behind my back and talked to the douche I warned you is a douche and agreed with me about and said you'd watch out for how do I know you're not the one trying to manipulate me" so uh. UHHHH. If it actually ends up being a thing that Pokey does on some degree, this could get awful fast.

ALSO NEAT a heart-to-heart about bros and their shitty pasts is definitely something I am 200% psyched for.

You're kind of like playing with fire and ice Dave, and he is trying to figure some way to get you out of this without you getting hurt but it clearly is going to be the most uphill battle he ever fought. You ain't gonna make this easy, are you man?

The talk, though, he is definitely going to have with Dave soon after Halloween, if just as his first line of defense to try and cut off Gary by bonding with him more.
