Future Plans: No new characters here! I have a couple I've thought of maybe tossing in for fun, but nothing concrete until my RL schedule eases up.

Character's Name: Yang Xiao Long
Currently Up To...: Same old, same old. Working at the diner, fighting gem monsters, trying not to panic at all of her friends disappearing enjoying the steadily warming weather. Yep. Doing good.
Future Plans: I thought about having Yang arrange one more player plot tournament this year similar to the one they had in April but, UMM. Not sure if that'll happen or not. If you/your character would be interested in something like that though, let me know because I'd love to have some help for that both IC-ly and OOC-ly.

Also, and I know I keep saying this every CR meme, but with V4 pending release on the 22nd I will likely canon update her either late this month or sometime next month (unless V4 does something even more drastic to her which...yeah).

If and when I do, I'll make an OOC post about it because Yang's personality is likely to be...not the same (at least for a bit) which might confuse her current CR. She is also going to be a major walking spoiler for V3, which could potentially veer into some heavy territory so...yeah, I need to think hard about this.

In the event I canon update her, she might stop living at the Temple for a spell maybe she'll take over Madison's old shack, idk and will probably quit her job at Sup All Nite, for a number of reasons. I'm thinking she may eventually take over "Beat Down" if it hasn't been re-claimed yet in order to have some form of income OOC-ly for her and also because she needs something to do in-between excursions/events.
CR You'd Like: Friends? Rivals? Nemeses? I love all kinds of CR. Yang's friend pool has taken a serious hit (which'll only get worse if I canon update her) so there's also the potential for stuff dealing with that because she's "handling it" but not really...handling it.
CR You Wouldn't Like: Nothing at present, short of gemming her and even then. I'll always let a mun know if a thread starts to go someplace I'm not comfortable with, although that hasn't happened yet, so no worries.
Important Notes: Obligatory copy/pasting of the usual "This is Yang Xiao Long" warning. While Yang presents herself as a generally friendly and out-going person (and she is!) she can be a little unpredictable when it comes to responses to somebody being rude or condescending towards her. Antagonizing her friends in any way is a generally bad idea and for the love of Dust do not mess with her hair please mess with her hair. Of course, I will always check permissions before she does anything too extreme and usually I'll plurk/PM the mun just in case too if possible.

Idk if you'd be up for hand-waving or establishing it, but I really love the idea that Yang and Connie have been sparring and/or practicing regularly together ever since that post you made where they sparred? Yang'd be more than happy to help Connie keep her skills up because honestly, she needs to do that herself. And Connie's powers really keep her on her toes in a fight.

Oh I have no problem with that! Weiss trained Connie at first but I never got to establish how long they trained. With Yang being the last of their group, along with Connie needing a sparring partner and big sister, this would be good for both of them!

And awesome! Yeah, it's funny because Yang's starting to realize that without her Aura, she seriously has to re-think parts of her fighting style because she can't just tank certain hits anymore. I may yet give her some of the protective aspect of her Aura back as a power if I can (since all Gems heal fast anyway), although at this point that may hurt more than help, idk. XD

Either way, they make for great training partners!

That'll be a good experience for both of them!

With Connie, even as a gem she still thinks of herself as a human, only enhanced. It's just as important for her to learn how to hold her own in a fight as it is mastering the gem abilities she's been given. That way if their abilities ever get disabled (as they have before) Connie has something to fall back on.

Ooo, that's something they have in common too! Yang still thinks of herself as a human as well, just with a magic gem stuck on her, lol. She actually rarely refers to anyone in the Temple as "Gems" either unless they're like Amethyst or Tiger's Eye where they were always that way. And Yang's a pretty firm believer in knowing how to defend yourself without a weapon or even flashy powers (even if she does like being flashy, lol). XD

Connie pretty much CAN'T think of most people here as gems since, well, she knows what real gems are, and has also had that hammered into her with some of the "real" gems she met here too (I.E> Peridot, Malachite, Rose). At best she thinks of everyone here as half gems like Steven only with enhancements, and she's still busily trying to find out why that is to begin with. That aside, Connie's kept with her original mission since Steven's run in with the ghost: protecting him and anyone who encounter gem monsters that they can't beat on their own, whether she has her gem powers or not.

I love Connie's determination with regards to her mission and wanting to help people though (as does Yang), and just, go Connie go.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure stuff like that kinda requires maintenance (at least while it's still healing...I should probably research that) and since her Aura won't follow her here she'll probably need somebody to look at her every once in awhile at the very least. And she'd probably still trust Naomi to some extent so, yep. Sorry Naomi. Here's another dumb RWBY kid sitting in your office because V3 sucked. A lot.

Yeah, it will especially since it's not just a flesh wound. Bones take a while to mend or probably need to be manually closed depending. Naomi is fine with this... never let her meet Cinder though.
