[Making a frustrated snarl when the monster rounded on her, Yang sucked in a breath as the deadly splinters whistled towards her, dodge-rolling to the side. Her reflexes were surprisingly quick for someone her age, almost more befitting a practiced warrior than an innocuous looking teenage girl as she pulled her guard up, most of the remaining splinters shattering harmlessly against her gauntlets. She hadn't gotten out of it completely unscathed however, a couple red lines now visible along her arms and down her legs and one obvious scratch across her cheek.
